MIDDLETON – The cross country teams of the Falcons, the Bulldogs and the Vikings represented Oregon against a host of Idaho teams in the running of the Middleton Twilight on Wednesday, Sept. 14.
For the boys, the Vikings placed fifth in the team scoring, one spot above Nyssa.
Nyssa’s Spencer Romans came in the top local finisher, placing 27th while Vale freshman Wyatt Cox was 29th. Just a few spots back, Four Rivers’ Aiden Herrera placed 31st.
The Vale girls finished fifth in the team standings, the lone Oregon team qualifying for a team score.
Adrian’s Presley Speelman managed to top 20 finish in the talented field, placing 15th as did Vale freshman Addie Saunders and her 17th place finish.
Easternoregonsports.com is again standing out from other media sources by listing all the runners from eastern Oregon schools in the cross-country competitions. First or 41st, all these runners made it to the finish line. There is only a single runner with the best time, but there are many more stories worth mentioning afterwards.
